New Directors in Student Experience

Apr 11, 2024

We are thrilled to announce Nadene and Jeffry will be expanding their roles in Student Experience as Directors! These two have shown what it means to embody the spirit of CST by living out the Credo every day.

Please read more about their journey below and find a moment to congratulate them on their new roles!

Nadene Dell

Director of Student Experience

I have been in the transportation industry on and off for over 20 years,  I have worked in various departments in the transportation industry including starting as a driver, driver trainer, safety manager, Director of Safety and Compliance, which contributed to my knowledge of what needs to be done and how to achieve it.

I appreciate the mission CST has and the work it has done to ensure students are getting an education by providing means of transportation. I am grateful for this platform to work more closely with our Service Partners and Districts to continue to build this bridge for every student to cross in getting reliable and safe transportation to receive an education.

Jeffry Willis

Director of Student Experience

As a fresh, green, newbie- I came up through the ranks at Monarch Bus Service. Never drove anything bigger than a pontoon boat before that. Trained up in the St Paul public school district; soon I finnegled my way to becoming the trainer; next on to dispatch, and finally to field trip dispatch / router. I followed a path that led me to the CST offices and felt like the greyhound track racing dog who accidentally caught the mechanical hare- never to race again! (it ruins those dogs, you know!) I had seen behind the curtain and there was no going back to the garage.

The nature of the transportation industry is not easy in general. And CST focuses on the extra-difficult aspects of that industry.  CST is a group that manages these issues. We are rarely thanked. When it all goes well, no one notices. Being taken for granted is the mark of great work here. But I believe many families do understand the benefit we provide in their lives. I genuinely feel like we're doing important work. I selfishly find it life-filling to hear about the impact our kind of work has on peoples' lives.

One thing that I am looking forward to in this role is to hold a space that has a bigger voice. The understanding that has been gained while I've been on this path has given me the confidence and the discernment to recognize the 'shoulds and should nots' and to be able act on those observations, and further write this book about how the processes are done.
